The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...
I'm actually in my office right now at work and I have no window!  But if I did, I'd see rain - lots of it!

I am thinking...
that I get to go home in 3 hours to take my little ballerina to her first formal dance pictures.
So exciting!

I am thankful...
that my keyboard tray was installed on my desk while I was out yesterday.

In the kitchen...
we're cutting up watermelon nonstop as we eat it like crazy!

I am wearing...
Black pants, a black and white shirt and black shoes.  Standard work clothes.

I am creating...
this blog.

I am going...
home soon :)

I am wondering...
if I'll ever get to be a stay at home mom or at least work part time.

I am reading...
Beth Moore's Daniel Bible study.
Also just borrowed Can You Keep a Secret? from the library for my Kindle.

I am hoping...
this week goes by fast.

I am looking forward to...
the girls' dance recital next weekend.

I am learning...
that I create almost all of my own stress.

Around the house...
hubby moved the living room furniture around yesterday.  It looks awesome.

I am pondering...
why fried chicken has to be bad for you because it tastes so good!

A favorite quote for today...
“Time flies whether you are having fun or not.” -Mary Englebreit

One of my favorite things...vacation days

A few plans for the rest of the week: dance pictures tonight and thursday.  Dance classes tomorrow. Hopefully nothing on Friday and Saturday.

A peek into my day...
My newly rearranged desk and keyboard tray.  And yes those are crumbs from my lunch on my desk - ew!

  1. I too work outside the home and struggle with balancing the marriage, children, work, church, and everything else that I like to do. But I have learned not to feel guilty for working outside the home because my income is greatly needed and it is my husbands wish for now. I would like to be a follower of your blog but I don't use Google...I will be back around though!

    1. Hello! It sounds like we have a lot in common, although I'm still trying to not feel guilty. Thanks for stopping by! I hope to "see" you again soon, and I'll be sure to hop on over to your blog, too :)
